I agree with you Maca, but Ants signal is 82%. Nothing wrong
with that. Also keep in mind he didn't have this problem all along
with itv2 & 3. Have heard talk about providers changing Net-ID
recently. If Ants provider has changed Net-ID he might have to
scan several nearby ID's to find correct one. Cacti might know
about this, he may have new list of NET-ID's. There again Ants
box may settle down itself. They are not critical channelsComment

Server may be still settling down after yesterdays upheaval. When
you have time scan with diff NET-ID's. Just because you live in
Leeds doesn't mean your NET-ID is Leeds. It could be nearby
area ID, Barnsley maybe. Give box a few days to settle down &
if channels don't settle down scan with diff nearby ID's. If a
neighbour has Prov box you could check prov name & NET-ID
Tonight make sure POWER SCAN MODE is turned ON & put box
in stand by overnight. It should pick up any missing channelsComment

That's the way KV box works. When on correct prov & NET-ID
ALL-channels list is; 1-bbc1, 2-bbc2,3-itv1, etc.
If on correct ID & still missing channels turn on POWER SCAN
in box menu. Put box in stand-by overnight & it should find all
missing channels
Maybe next f/ware update should change scanning method to
symbol rates only & eliminate NET-ID necessityComment

Evenin' Cacti, don't be telling people to scan on all providers.
They will be back here with 1200 channels & when they delete
duplicate channels power scan will bring them back when box is
in stand-by. If they turn off power scan they will lose channels
if they change frequency.
It's a long time since I had a KV box, so I want you to post
answers to 2 questions which may make scanning easier
1 If prov changed area NET-ID from 40993 to 41008 would new
NET-ID automatically change on Prov box
2 If user selected wrong Prov name would NET-ID list show after
they hit GREEN to start scanComment

i would hope it would change but it depends when it got a last update, nothing is set in stone anymore.
any time box is flashed
or you need to scan factory reset first then power off at back for 30 secs remove lan, then on and scan note the number of channels you get on each provider or net id,if you need to redo a scan factory reset and off at back again.i was told it clears any channel info stored so its like new again.
some places may overlap and it may be possible to scan on wrong provider and get net ids but i am unsure as i dont have a box either,it used to be simple scan on wrong provider# no channels found
1200 cable channels sounds nice catching up on my 5000 sat channels and blank screen.
i would advise to anyone if unsure what provider to scan on is try them and if only a few channels are found reset and power off at back first for 30 secs then on.Comment

That box is really toying with you Ant. It might settle down if it'sbox the same this morning no itv2,3,4 eurosport and some others did another factory reset scan turned box router off put box back on and went to itv2 the box freezed and a no 1 displayed on the box remote wouldn't work turned off and back on and i can get the channels now i think its this box myself?
server issue. Turn on POWER SEARCH MODE & leave in stand-by
overnight. If it persists sellit on to someone you don't like and
buy a new oneComment
