just got in and my firend had a promblem with router it keep going of so he phoned v/m and there said he was being montior due to to much useage he only has a box and has a L bb .v/m was sending someone out .does anyone no if the box take up a lot of useage or heard of this with these boxes .they told him that anought ip address was conficting with his and thats why it was useing up useage

Sounds like someone cloned his modem's mac or has he got a dodgy modem himself? Nothing to do with the KV.

They will just give him a new modem.

As Satsmo has said sound like a cloned modem, Kryptview box uses very little BB usage, just make sure you have all cables, remote and box all put away before they call.

i switch my box andbridge off at socket every night, and dont turn back on until i return fe work, i done this ncase they could see mass usage, but if it doesnt use much or show much then guess i wont bother. cheers

yes someone has run sniffer in your area< and a guy a few miles away is happy as larry having large broadband
