    Squeeky Budgies !

Hello everyone , been messing around with lots of different cable boxes and kept my old D Box 2's incase of any future software becomes available . I have just splashed out on a router and the A780 KV box and set it up by the instructions floating around.I tried to do a scan after setting provider to telepest and network etc. Pressed GREEN button and did a scan. No channels were found using the ethernet connection from my router which i rebooted after installation and Factory reset on the KV. I then attatched the white cable from telepest to the rear of the KV and hey presto it found all the channels on the Gateshead area. I then have the problem of pay channels freezing and stuttering for a few seconds at a time every minute or so which is highly annoying. My question is....do you have to connect the normal white telepest cable to the rear of the A780 or am i doing something wrong ? Is there any cure for the squeeky budgies effect with the pay channels freezing up and the scrambled video message coming up on the TV screen ? I have just downloaded the latest firmware and tried to upload it via the S/W update in the menu and failed. I then uploaded the new firmware using the downtool program successfully. My PC is running windows 7 ultimate and my router is the Belkin wireless G and i am on 10MB download with Virg Media . Any suggestions or help on this would be gratefully appreciated . Thx mentorman .

From what you have said I would say you have a bad connection on you cable feed.

        Squeeky Budgies !

Hi everyone and thanks for your replies to my situation. Just a quick note to let you know that the problem was my router not being setup correctly . Updated the firmware and tweeked it on its internal page and now all my channels are rock steady . Windows 7 Ultimate is sometimes a problem getting things to work with the operating system as it was seeing my LOCAL connection as disabled when it was Enabled but i got there in the long run ! mentorman
