Hi i set up a kv yesterday for my friend, via the home plug,
i put the et cable from the box into one home plug then the other plug into his wireless, he has a seperate modem that is connected to his wireless and then to his router. the thing is it worked for about 2 minutes and then all of a sudden it stopped and it kept saying scrambled or no video.

i am sure i have set it up right otherwise i wouldnt have worked for 2 minutes. i have tried to scan and re scan switiched the box on and off put still have the same problem. please can somebody help me, its driving me crazy.

Could be an IP conflict. Your post suggests there are two routers, Why?

it might be worth chrcking here
Enter your account details to check your broadband, TV or landline service status – and see if there are any issues in your area or faults with your services.

This is what made me ask:

he has a seperate modem that is connected to his wireless and then to his router.

Make sure the modem is connected to the single port on the router and the homeplug to one of the other four.

If you have VM broadband you could put the wireless router and modem behind the TV so as to hard wire the KV and the wireless will provide to your laptop, if its a desktop a wireless dongle would suffice at about a fiver.

ring circuit DOES matter where the sockets does NOT go through the same mains fuse.if you have different socket to the mains fuse line then will not allow the home plug to work properly .
