kryptview a780 problems

Hi I have a A780 and have been trying to set it up following the guide but I am having a few problems,

1. The pc does not recognise the box and when I go to the device manager there is no "Ports (COM & LPT)"

2. I have tried to install the driver for windows xp but when I pick the specific file on the harware manager is gives the message that the driver cannot be found.

Is there anyway I can get round this as it is really annoying me now.

you have xp and a serial port yes?the same as on back of box,then all you need is a null modem cable,download the file and loader to desktop

I have all the connections and has downloaded the firmware and loader but the laptop does not recognise the box and I cannot set the port.
