Open Media 500cs Receiver

I already have a DM500s, but I am looking at getting this box becuase it can do the sat and cable.

I totally understand the sat side and how that works, but havent got a clue about the cable side.

Does the image for the cable side download the keys for the 'premium' channels, or can they be putin manually? Also where do we get the keys for the cable bit from.

If its easy I am getting one!!
