advice and feedbackfor open media

i am planing to buy this box i want to know if is a good box and how is working do you need a s/w or key pls i need all information and what difference this box with dream box 500c

Its exactly the same as a dm500, it takes dm500 images and all software used with the dm500 will work on the open media. The open media has a cable and satellite tuner, simply power off, flip the switch at the back and reboot to change tuners.

Im very impessed with the box, i havent tried the the cable side, but the sattelite side is great picks all the channels and controls the dish with no problem

Just wondering Devilfish - is this similar in functionality to the ipbox 9000?? I know that doesn't need to be powered off to switch tuners, but the basics - are they similar??

Well im opposite to bashi..tested the cable side...all workin as it should..picks channs up where the dream 500c dosnt for me..so it looks a good thing...great box.
