Widescreen Switching on 500cs

I am having problems activating WSS on the cable side of the 500cs

I am using the Enigma firmware and cant find any settings that work for WSS

the previous Kaos image i used also refused to WSS

I cant work out if this is a hardware or software problem

Would a different image be the only solution?

I am using a Scart>3 RCA component lead and had no problems with WSS on my sagem Dbox2 using the same setup

This is really annoying as overall this is a fantastic box

Any help would be welcome

you can try the neutrino based image and see if that makes a difference as it has the "auto option" as well as the 16:9 and 4:3

or with the enigma image you can try the "disable WSS on 4:3"

but to be honest none of these may work as Pin 8 on the TV scart on the openmedia box sends out a signal which determines the picture mode

if pin 8 is 5-8v then tv will turn to 16:9
if pin 8 is 9.5 - 12v then tv will turn to 4:3

so if using component i cant see how the tv will know what mode to go in as the component leads do not carry any additional info about picture mode.

OK its all sorted now

Although component does not support Aspect switching
I have connected a scart lead from the VCR output into my HDD recorder and it now switches aspect even when viewed through the component when the HDD recorder is in stand by
