I have posted these details several times over the last few days , so its a lack of reading on your part causing your problem

    like this thread here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...sv2-sv3-18211/

yes , if it just says starview is a starview 1 ( the first one ) , is fairly old and has no fix yet and may never get a fix either ( unless somebody releases one which I personally doubt )

the others have the name of "the box" and added words like super and usb or the pvr

so my opinion is you have an sv1 , could be a clone , could be an original , but no fix for it either way at the moment

ps:- I also posted the details here too http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...ew-plus-18690/

thats what I have read and there is info on the forums about these clones but havent seen one myself

either way , there is no fix and you are opening a can of worms with it so give it back and dont touch it unless a clone safe fix comes out

I would advise that he upgrades to something like an sv usb super or kryptview arnet
