Hi

No one other than the people behind it would know when it will be released I should think. This is for the existing SV6 and SV7 lan.

At the moment its beeing tested so just have to wait till full release.

L don't see wants in this for these new f/w makers ? If they release this and people who have had there boxes over a year they get free use again ? Wonder If there is a starview 8 or something else coming .

probably get it going to shift stock, euroview hd etc, then shut it down, as this is too risky.

the fw makers hold large stocks of 7 am sure 1 year old boxes will be cut off from server as name of the game is to sell boxes they will have a job selling new sv7 and getting an income and will have a tough time shifting new boxes unless they can build up to a good service perhaps they will have a renewal scheme to get some cash in ,good luck to them anyway

from what I can tell, whats happened is a new server has been setup and the new firmware has the address of the new server, as starview is closed source and the server address can not be modified, the current firmware will have the address of the old server that was shutdown so new firmware as address of new server.

only other thing I would be worried about is who has released this firmware, Starview or another group, if it is another group, then could it be Virgin Media out to log IP Addresses of people with these box's - just a thought

sorted it type 2819 on remote to disable,put on stand by and then turn back on ,should go back to normal.untill new software is out.
