Iv'e just been informed by a friend of mine that he's bringing me Starview 4 USB Firmware V1.06 tommorrow, which gives a 7 day EPG and a better timer recording facility has anybody else heard of this because i haven't. He got it off some Russians apparantly all sounds very doggy LOL

I have downloaded 1.06 from a different forum earlier today. I have not tried it yet though, as I am getting rid of my sv4 soon, and did not want to risk having a brick. The date on my file is 5/12/08 so I'm a bit suprised it has not surfaced here yet.
Not sure if any russians were involved, but it is meant to have a better epg. I do not want to upload the file anywhere, but I can pm it to a mod if they want it.
I have just tried to find it on the other forum and was unable to find it. As I said I have not tried it yet, so would not feel comfortable uploading it, as it could be anything... -
Just found the file on the other forum. I can pm the link to a mod if they need to look into it, or if it is allowed I can just put the link here, if someone gives me the go ahead. I guess it is not allowed though...
Update:
Just tried the new firmware and it seems to work! EPG for me has gone from one day to five days, which is much better! All channels seem to work, but I guess I will have to wait for the next key roll to be certain.Last edited by ad1969; 9 December, 2008, 22:23.Comment

Yes I have it since earlier. And was waiting for someone to test it. I will up it now. It sorts out the EPG problem, but where did the Russian angle come from
