Bug in new SV6/7 FW or one off ?

I know I'm a noob to this forum but thought I'd post this just incase anyone else has/had the same problem...

SV 6 has been running great since latest fw release ...until I switched it off from the power button on the back for the first time
When I turned it back on all I got was a clear display and a red LED plus no picture, I waited a while but nothing happened so repeated the process several times... nothing.
I could picture a brick atm in time.

Anyway, I read quite few posts on here and one for the SV4 said to format a USB (FAT32) then paste fw file to it, plug in USB with power off then switch on
First attempt... Fail
Second... It came back on as if I switched it on normally

The power of the SEARCH button !!!!

Has this happened to anybody else or just 'one of them things' ?

i had the same prob with a sv6. I just did a reset and and reloaded the software back on and all fine, with tyhe sv7 worked the 1st time,

Have got sv7 showing C113 red and green light on. have read and tried all different things to get it to boot .. no luck .. this is only 2month old box so sending back.

Had the same problem....booted up with the lights etc,but no picture..I then decided to try it on another tv with the same scart etc....Got the thing to show a picture...then just factory reset it and installed new firmware and it works fine now.....Hope this works for you.........cheers!!!

your a star, got it up again and put the carling 104 back on, think i'll leave tring to load new f/w till i read a few more posts and feel a bit more confident, thanks so much
