i, like everyone else have the sv7 that went down a couple of months back. i can see the new firmware, and have saved it in a file. my prob is, how do i download that to my usb memory stick. on this stick, was the previous firmware carling 1.07. and some music. thanks. tom.

put your usb into your computer and do a full format (FAT32} downoad the firmware to your desk top then just right click it and send it to your usb pen -
i have it downloaded on my desktop, when i put my memory stick in, and right click, then press send to usb, it says " the target cannot handle this type of document. i dont know what you mean by," a full format( fat 32). thanks. tom.Last edited by slobojoe1; 23 March, 2011, 23:40.Comment

Format usb drive
Save any files you want to keep from your usb stick to the desktop.
Now go to "my computer" on your list of programs and open it. You will see all your drives there including your usb stick.
Right click on your usb icon and scroll down and click on "format".
This will open another box with format instruction, look for the drop down box that states "format type" and make sure Fat32 is selected. Then click "Full Format".
Once format is complete go to my computer again and open your usb icon. It should show no files. Now just drag and drop your file from your desktop to the usb stick.
Once you have loaded the file on your box you can drop the original files back on your stick and delete them from your desktop.
