Hi, thanks for the link. Downloaded v1.12 firmware via link onto usb stick but i'm unable to upload on my starview 4 box..keeps coming back with "not valid file RIN file" message...anyone got any ideas

best version of firmware?

This is my first thread, so sorry if this question is in the wrong post (tried to start my own thread but didnt know how to).
I've got a starview 4 box with 16gb usb drive plugged in for recording - im quite happy with it but i tryed scheduled recording and it didn't work.
The channel will change to the programme i want to record but then doesnt actually record until i do it manually.
after reading through some posts, its seems like others have the same problem.
so my question is :- what is the best firmware to load into the box having in mind i'd like to set up scheduled recordings? *im from glasgow-scotland, just incase location is important.

if movies and sports are gone is in irl on n*l as those channels have gone to nagra3.

Thanks for the link bad apple. I see you've got eurovox ex5100's, would you say these are better than the starview?

ExNTL areas have had no problems. However exTW and C&W areas have had some EPG problems. What area are you in?

I have had mixed reports regards recording but it has worked fine for me and a few others I have asked. Thanks for the feedback.

Now then fella, any chance you could forward me the latest firmware release for The Box Super USB. its the first time Iv tried anything technical in my life. I bought a box today and was told to go on th internet and down load instructions. that was at 10am, and Im still lost. Any help would be great.

Thanks for the download (v1.12),i have all chanels,however i have no EPG whatsoever,ive done a scan for EPG from menu then green button but when its complete still nothing,any help plse

You may want to use v.1.07 in the UK then.

It works perfectly well on mine.
