No Channels Found

My Starview 4 no longer finds any channels. I have done factory resets, and have scanned the box for channels in 2 different cable locations using the appropriate cable co options.

I do not understand why the receiver used to work perfectly in both areas, and now does not even find any channels even FTA ones. The receiver has the latest software 1.12 installed, but since I did a factory reset the scan does not come up with any channels any more. Even if the channels are now in N3, I would still like to use the receiver for FTA.

Is there something I need to check or change in the settings, or are other people encountering the same issue?

have you turned keycode on??
when you say you have scanned in 2 areas, do you mean at 2 addresses or 2 cable providers, ie t/pest, c/w etc??
i would suggest you scan with all providers...

I scanned the receiver at 2 diifferent addresses, both scanned with the provider that I knew to be correct for that particular adddess, due to the fact that I had tuned the same receiver in previously at both locations.

With regards to turning the key code on, I thought that was the procedure once channels were found and stored?

correct find channels first then keycode to on/enable,is the coaxial in cable input and scanning from direct feed.

no you have to turn it on yourself.....menu, 1570, keycode on, press default, then exit, exit....

Yes that's my problem, the box did not find any channels. If it did, I would then have pressed Menu, 1570 and set Key Code to On.

Maybe my box has developed a fault?

As of the 17/08/'09 looks like N*L areas of Ireland have started to shift over to Nagra 3 and this firmware does not clear N3 channels.

can anyone point me in the direction of sat fw for hd combo please and private message me any info i need to know to connect as im in n3 area now and lost all my hd channels on vm
