Hi mate, thanks for the "thanks" help. For sure, i think linking to the forum i shall do. thanks....now...how do i update firware

1. Got THE BOX SUPER USB- Starview 4.
2. Got latest firmware 1.10
3. Transfer to USB stick - ( does this usb stick be empty? )
4. Stick it into usb on THE BOX (backside - powered off)
5. Turn on Power

6. Press menu
7. Type in 1570
8. Select "Set Default Key"
9. Change KeyCode to "on"
10. Exit

Is this right? Have not done so, will do in 10 mins if i get reply here

Hi,
I'm struggling to install the new firmware. When I try and execute the loading of the file I get the following error message:

"It is not a file of this IRD"

Apologies if I am wasting people's time and doing something fundamentally wrong here.

Do you have a Starview 4 USB or are you trying to flash it to another model of Starview?

Sorry just seen that you do have a Starview 4. Did you do a factory reset first and then load the bin file. When inserting HDD or Mem stick please make sure box is powered down from main switch on the back of the box. Then power box up and go to HDD via the remote.

i switched my box on today as usual and i have lost sly spots 1 and 2 and 3 also sly modern, i only the other day did a full factory reset and scan and new firmware so im a little peed off about it...any ideas guys? im in birmingham uk tw
