Latest firmware release 23/06/'09, for the Box Super USB, (SV4).

Contains Nagra 2 fix for Ireland. Can be used in both the UK & Ireland. But I would advise sticking to 1.07 in the UK as there is a glitch in the firmware and will not allow advanced EPG recordings.

i am using the 1.07 and no problems whatsoever, just the recording problem really. By the way, can you save the EPG guide? i have to load it every time I reboot the box.

Yes if you are on N*L EIRE.
This fix sorts out missing chls. but not recording function.
If your box works OK with V1.10 the beta fix should be fine.
The v1.10 & beta are known to kill clones.

recording on sv4

anyone having problems recording to hdd or usb flash? watching is impossible if recording at the same time, slow frame rate and no audio. transfer speed i guess, any help!!

Depends, what firmware are you using, what HDD or mem stick are you using and are they FAT32 formatted?

yepp, formatted FAT32 , I used a flash USB stick 8GB and an external HDD ( Packard Bell ) USB2.0. none of them solved the issue. However, the recorded file plays fine, its just during recording. I am using 1.07
Someone should hve the same problem otherwise my boxmight be faulty

I have seen it glitch but that's it on 1.07. If it plays back fine I wouldn't be overly worried about it.

If you are still unhappy with it try a factory reset and reflash.

I might try that, shall i keep the 1.07. Never flashed it before. I do a factory reset and then flash the box? What about the BIN file, where do I get it from

If you are in the UK which I assume you are keep 1.07. Just factory reset for now and see if it improves it, before you go through a reflash. You will have to rescan and turn your keycode back on.

Its easy enough to do but are you sure you need to as it is playing back fine as you said.

I think I will leave it for now, I will try a different HDD ( 7200) and see what happens. Will post what happens

It does sound like a HDD issue so I think that is your best course of action for now. Let us know how you get on.

i did factory reset, improved ( i have audio while recording ) but still not watchable. Will reflash and let u know. What firmware should i use ( 1.10 or beta )and in case things go wrong, 1.07 is available i assume

flashed the box with Beta file, now i have 8882 error. Box will not start. am gonna try to reprogram through 232 to usb adapter. GTROM software..
Its only 2 week old that box (
