    is my starview bust

    hi all, when i turn on my sv7 within a few minutes i start to picture quality - it goes grey then fuzzy then no screen at all. it doesnt matter whether im on menu screen or tc channel - anyone know if i can fix, many thanks

      another tv

      if you have not tried it yet,plug into a different tv with new scart lead,if its the same you know its the starview..

        just tried another scart - no good, its like after a few minutes it overheats or something - the picture starts to break up then straight after nothing - ive noticed the channels wont change when gone

          no good im afraid - tried different scart and tried tv out cable. still freezes up after couple of minutes -even with scart in starview, as though its overheats or something - any thoughts

            sounds like a tuner problem to me mate. or could be a bad flash try flashing it again mate

              ok - next problem - thought id try reflashing - starview doesnt show anything on usb stick - formatted to fat32 - have carling 1.03 and 1.04 but nothing - also usb stick doesnt light up when inserted - can i not reflash via rs232

                lok in furums for jtagging mate :as the wife had the polish round it ?cause it to over heat vents need to be clear to keep it cool jtag should sort

                  i'd like to try the jtag route but me thinks above my station - anyone in wolves area that can do and charge me for it would be helpful

                    old non working files,can you look in through vent to see if caps are gone domed or leaky.

                          no joy on the jtag front - like i said its above my understanding - have tried the test channel ( hold control up on the box then power on ) can get in test and when i try usb test it fails - was hoping to reset the box somehow - any other ideas
