Starview 7 help please

I have a Starview 7. The guy who sold it me lives 50 miles away told me i need to upgrade. I don't know what is needed to upgrade. Can you please give me details on how to upgrade I have a USB stick and Internet but how do I make it work. Sorry but I am a idiot with these things.

Hi just go to the starview section and at top in red says starview 6 and 7 firmware or similar link to software is in there and instructions too
Put file on USB
Flash the box with software
Reset factory default
Scan for channels
Go to sky sports 1 and press 1819 and press ok
If you need any more help just come back and someone will help
