stuck on the setup means you have no channels,try scanning for channels,
bit lost on the boot loader thing?

this goes with showmustgoon

1. Copy the file to your USB pen drive
2. Install
3. Restart
4. Do a factory reset
5. Scan for channels in your area
6. When channel scan completes go to a channel and type 1819
7. Wait a few minutes and connection should be established

Have tried scanning for channels but not picking up anything. nothing at all.

when i reinstall the old carling i get a list of channels but still not viewable. i think the issue here is that for some reason the scan is not detecting anything. not even bbc1/2 itv...etc

try scanning another provider then,unless you get a no signal message on screen which may mean outside fault,you said you found channels,maybe a bad flash,follow post 16 again with a fresh download of showmustgoon,delete anything not needed on usb first.

just for anyone else who is gettint it wrong like i was here is a procedure that worked for me....


starting with box not working (I have carling 1.4 inatslled with a full list of channels that were scrambled)

copied showmustgoon.ups onto usb

upgraded the S/W ONLY ....... NOT the boot loader

go to a channel that costs money e.g. ss1 type 1819 and WAIT.......this can take a while...it too a good part of 10 minutes for me.

now it all works....

the mistake i was making was i was upgrading the "boot loader"

2.factory default first
3.wait till reboot
4.install showmustgoon
5.check network ip
6.scan for channels
7.enable with 1819
