The Box Super USB v1.06 firmware

This latest Firmware seem to be a small step back. The EPG now has to manually updated using the green button from the EPG menu every time you start the box from standby and it takes about 2 to 3 minutes each time.
Is this an improvement?, as V1.05 updated the EPG automatically !
Anybody else noticed this ? Also the screen goes blank whilst recording.

Thanks for the feedback. Others have said it works fine, but if you are having problems revert back as you said.

Hi Satsmo have updated to 1.06 f/w and when I switch on box go's to box super logo and then have to press exit for to get channels. working fine only for that problem.

I don't have to do this.

Do have to keep updating the epg though.

My screen doesn't go blank when recording.

My problem with 1.05 is that sometimes the colour on picture goes a bit scrambled then corrects itsself, also sound goes off from time to time, have to switch box off then back on.

v1.06 beta seems to work fine for me so far. The only issue has been Setanta but the workaround suggested in another thread has sorted that.

Setting the time on the box manually fixed the EPG on my box.

Only other problem i've had is sometimes the channel is black, quick channel switch back and it's fine.

I,m back to ver 1.05 and everything is working OK now - setting the clock manually in ver 1.06 made no difference to the EPG, I still had to reload it every hour or so!

Tried v1.06 but it seems one step forward and two steps back as the EPG wouldn't auto update, even tried setting the clock manually as scjgreen suggested but it didn't work. Gave up in the end and reloaded v1.05 (had to manually set the keys to get it to decode the channels) but as least everything is OK again now. Seems that there is still some work to do to get SV4 USB bug free.

I'm having the same EPG issues on 1.06 too.

I've also found with the epg's recording facility that it doesn't turn the recording off.
I set to record a 30 minute prog while I'm asleep and get up to find I've got the prog plus another eight hours of unwanted stuff.
Also doesn't update. Thinking of reverting to V5

Let's hope this is something that's fixed in future updates. The epg recording facility is pretty useless without a fix.

Just to let you all know found out the problems i had with the box, it was the tele tryed everything to work it but failed i have swaped with my old v2 box and works fine so new box goes downstairs , The tele witch it played up on is a viewpia 22" lcd, So 22" viewpia and the new superbox is a no no.
