The Box Super starview

I think ive gone and made a monumental error, I've placed a bid on a "The Box Super Usb starview" box and now reading around to get the software etc that i will need to flash it with, It seems that it may not have been such a good idea, as the most recent posts i can find on other forums and this one are from may 2010, so i think the box may be too out of date, unless anyone knows of any recent updates, and if not then what should i go for a dreambox 500 looks good to me as im on a budget hence the skipping the subs. any advice would be greatly appreciated HELP?????????, i'd rather take a bad feedback than spend ?30 on an ornament to go with my samsung 2100, can i use the starview superbox effort or have i to cancel that one, sorry about all the questions but id only just got used to the cable and they put a brickwall in my way now im trying to learn about this c\s stuff and Failing any advice would be really appreciated

yes the box you put a bid on is out of date, you should be able to cancel, should give you the option.

you could go for starview 7 or kryptview, which works via cable and router and internet, but i would advise against this. both have been raided as such by powers that be, this is cs on large scale, bound to cause trouble.

you either need small server for cable, or take sat route with something like dreambox 500, i use sat, much better
