Combo: Scrambles and No Sig

Hi

Have had a combo for a few months on sat side and had been fine but giving me trouble lately.

Its connected to server and from working fine went to scrambled and no sig messages every so often to frequently.

After a bit of messing about would only decrypt channel I was on and as soon as I changed channels would display same messages again. Now it displays the messages all the time, only freeview channels are fine.

If I take out my spare openbox and input cline server (newcamd) connects and decrypts channels so I know its not server.

Have read threads with similar problems people were having and have tried al the various suggestions from completly resetting box and trying various firmware to taking box back to factory provided by running the svhd fix via null modem cable and starting fresh.

Anybody any ideas on this.

The sv combo on sat side should be ok as long as you have decent server or thats what I have read.

It was ok but now even though the newcamd server is connected just does not decrypt.

Before if I changed to cccam saved and exited out of menu then go back in menu and back to newcamd it would be ok again till I changed channels but now that dont work either.

there was a thread somwhere that said to turn off the cable side completeye with certain formware as the cable server causes problems with the later firmwares...
mine was glitchy untill i did this and now its perfect again. search the forum im sure its about somewhere.

Yeh I read that and did try various firmwares that allowed me to switch off cable side but no joy. It has gone from being ok to glitchy to nothing.

What firmware have you got on.

im using 5.21 and fine with me mate.

my mates using 5.31 & his is fine too, i nearly upgraded but I thought if mines ok why bother..

so have left it, freezes ....very rarley usually only on 28.2e tho.

all about getting on a good server im sure.

cant believe how much some of the larger sites can charge.


I must say i miss the eurovox days when we had it oh so good, no subs just worked till your box died days....but saying that if the CABLE side of thing had'nt gone down the pad I would'nt be watching 3pm games. So I shall shut the f*** up about the old days.

Thanks for the replies. It was the server after all.

I reset the box again and put on the knightrider firmware on changed to another server and everything is gr8.

The good old days are long gone but as been said if it hadnt I wouldnt have gone down the sat route even though Im only on the fixed sly dish, its a lot better.

im debating this knightrider firmware...what advantages over the 5.21 carling are there if any mate ? Cheers in advance.
