    I'm a newbie who needs help with starview!

    Hi all,

    I have this box:

    -----
    The Box Super
    API ver: 7.05e_E
    Boot ver: 8.0
    10.Apr.2008
    -----

    It's running through telewest and for a while I have only been able to see the basic channels, BBC1, BBC2, ITV, CH4, CH5. Which sucks...

    My research so far has taught me i need to update the firmwire. Now, The broadband connection is on the top floor of the house and the cable is downstairs. Is it a simple USB to computer update, USB update or does it need an ethernet cable?

    What update do i need and what are the instructions?

    Someone help...

              Nag 3? To be honest, it's stopped working since late last year. Been busy with work, hence no requirement for TV

                  What box would you recommend getting for virgin media? Any specific models?

                      i would reccomend none tbh...theres the kryptview and the starview 7, but if it were me, i would get a sat box instead

                          You mean sky ...? does starview 7 work well?

                          Isnt the box i have now star view 7? The API ver is 7.05e_E
