hd combo usb prob

hi there i had a prob today with box i used the brick fix and it fixed it but now i cant use the usb ports i have formated the usb key with fat32 on pc and on box all the files show up but when i go to update it says failed check usb,i would b very greatfull if some 1 could help me on this thanks

IF THE USB PEN IS NOT RECONIZING TRY THE OTHER PORTS IF ITS RECONIZING U WILL NEED TO PUT THE GROOVERIDER FIRMWARE ON BEFOUR YOU CAN GET THE LATEST FIRMWARE TO LOAD.

how do i put grooverider on frunt and back usb dont work it shows the file but fails iv used 2 usb keys and still no good

Hi

What firmware are you trying to put on and does it fail at 20%. If thats the case then its as previous poster has said you will have to put grooverider firmware on first then any firmware you want carling, knightrider etc.

This is assuming as you say your usb is getting recognised and files are showing up on drive.

the usb key shows up with all the files on it and when i go to load firmware it fails straight away and says check key

Not sure now, suppose theres no harm in running the combo fix again. I know as Ive done the combo fix a few times just to start fresh.

Once you do that if you try and put any firmware on it will fail at 20% unless you put grooverider on first.

In your case I realise what you saying that you can see the files but fails instantly.

Try combo fix again, maybe even reformat your usb drives and start fresh and hope its sorted.

you can flash box with rs232 cable if usb ports are not functioning

NOT SURE IF YOU CAN LOAD FIRMWARE VIA RS232 A LOADER IS NEEDED AND I HAVENT SEEN ONE ABOUT CHECK THE FIRMWARE YOU ARE RUNNING NOW IN SYSTEM INFO IF ITS CARLING OR NEWER GO TO THE ARCHIVE FILES ON 4SHARED AND TRY PUTTIN THE VERY FIRST FIRMWARE THAT WAS EVER RELEASED ON ALSO MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTONG THE CORRECT FIRMWARE AS THERE IS 2 S/V HD BOXES LAN/NON LAN.
