silly question but where does the coaxial cable come from,is it straight from the wall socket to box?
final question do you still pay for a tv sub and broadband, and the other place you tried is the same,
final trick try putting coaxial into other socket and scan

regardless of what your supplier says it may still be a tuner problem, i have a few clone dreamboxes with faulty tuners they only pick up certain transponders granted more than 1 but he cant rule it out because its picking 1 up.

After placing the firmware on to a USB stick (ShowMustGoOn2.12.ups)
          1. Place the USB in the back of your starview
          2. Navigate to USB using the menu on the remote, Install file.
          3. Starview will auto update and Restart
          4. Now Do a factory reset using the Menu.
          5. Scan for channels in your area example NTL is 6887, Tele West is 6952
          6. When channel scan completes go to a channel 511 and type 1819 into the remote you will see enable appear in the top left corner.
          7. Power off the box using the switch at the back for 10 seconds then turn back on.
Wait a few minutes and connection should be established
Make sure your Ethernet cable and all wires are connected.

i thinks its an area issue, i sent it back to supplier and he tested it and picked up all the channels.
i checked the S and Q but im only getting 10 of Q and there not coloured. checked cables and tried it in 3 different houses and still the same.
why am i not getting any Q? is starview down in my area? postcode b77?
              any ideas?

it comes in to house and then split into virgin box and modem,( i pay for tv and broadband) i have tried with and without the splitter but its the same. im getting 95 S and only 10 Q and there not coloured when scanning. i have already tried both sockets in box, its almost the same but with a little less S, Q still at 10 tho.
i think it must be area im in. tried 3 houses now.

It sounds like the tuner has it got 2 inputs to screw the cable onto on the back of the sv (im not sure because I wont buy one) if it has try the other one as this sounds like the same as my dads duo it had 2 screw ons on the tuner one saying IN as you'd assume worked gave the signal like what you are getting and OUT got full signal.

Well it does sound like the tuners goosed mate. No chance you can send it back to the supplier? Last thing I'd try in a cable signal booster I've got one here unused and not needed if you want me to send it.
