    starview hd combo sat side problem

    When watching FTA channel change to a premium channel it comes up scrambled channel also what is the best setting for your wireless router dynamic or static is there a firmware to sort this out i am using knightrider 0825

    the combo switches off the cccam while you watch fta channels, then when you switch back to a premium channel the box has to decode before viewing can resume.
    im assuming thats your question?
    also the router ,, what is the question there? one assumes dynamic is best and what do you want the firmware to sort out?

      Hi Dave other c-lines i have had the channels change no problem straight on to the picture the firm ware i was asking about was to get the channels to change back witout the scrambled signal as before as the router is concerned someone told told me that if the router was set at dynamic it would cause these problems and static would be a better setting i am only trying to find out what is best for the box to run properley as i don,t know much about these things and i am trying to get a little bit of help

        No settings in the router will overcome this problem. Use the firmware for your box. You are using starview 9600 firmware. Why? Starviews have this issue when connecting to servers with port numbers above 24000. Why I don't know. A workbaround for this is to make a bogus line yourself in cccam page and it keeps the cccam online all the time trying to connect. This will not have any effect on the working lines you have. Use correct firmare for starters anyways :-)
