Starview 3 not working

Hi guys,

I have a starview 3 that has been working fine on the old firmware until this evening. There were problems about a fortnight ago but they were fixed by new keys.

Just after 6pm my box stopped working. Is it necessary to update the firmware?? New keys don't seem to work.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

At present i don't have the cable to flash it with new software. Will i be able to use the keys manually until i get hold of the cable i need??

Yes for a Starview 3 in the UK.

The cable that i need, is it the type that would connect a pc monitor to a base unit??

not a com lead you need a "null modem cable" links from your pc to the back of the box you have. using the udate software program it takes only a few seconds to update the firmware.

using the latest firmware should bring you back life..

not sure if i'm allowed to advetise codes on forum, so not going to upset owners,
but should you find the code the
type in
1570 on the menu screen the go into nacra....

pull across to you area service provider and type in the codes for both 00 and 01

remember to press store after each code.. exit and switch ensure the emu is switched on .

Sorry mate. SV3 will not work in Ireland.
