OK before anyone starts telling me I should be greatful for what we have at the moment, I am greatful, its far better than having yet another door stop (though my back door, front door and garage doors are now well served with starview 1 to 4 ATM), Im sure my patio door can wait a little longer for my starview 7!

My point being, if the sellers of SV7 want more sales, they need to get the full channel list working (or as it was prior to the bust). I know of at least half a dozen guys that are waiting for racing, more kids stuff, MUFC channels etc,etc before risking their cash.

Weve waited patiently now for a good number of weeks, and although I can understand it does take time, the bit I dont like is the lack of comunication as to what and when. "Wait and see" or "fingers crossed" wont bring in more sales, and the guys in the know must be aware of this.

This brings me to my second point. Is this just a way of keeping those with what otherwise would be a door stop (patio door is flapping in the breeze) quiet for a few months due to pressure from dealers regards loyalty when out pops the starview 8,9,10 etc....

I have a redundant sky dish on my wall currently as quite possible so do a fair percentage of current sv7 users, having done some reading my next route may be for a decent sat reciever (if I can get my head around finding a decent cs server).

Im not trying to be flipant or disrespectful in anyway here, I am greatful for at least having some functionality out of my gamble with my sv7, but on this occassion I dont see "no news as good news".

i feel exactly the same as you dude. but i dont have a large pile of door stops, just the one, a SV7.
i have posted on here and preached to my friends about having a little patience and all will come etc. and have at least 6 friends ready to part with cash when i point them in the direction to go................and i think that direction is satelite. i have a perfectly good sat dish on my house, an offer i cant refuse for a signal/supply. so if communication at least doesnt improve in the next 7 days, i will be moving over to sat.

I have a fixed dish (old sky) so i realy guess a basic sat reciever with LAN connection.

I dont want to spend too big as I might be out of here in 12 months.

Are they (sat) easy to configure, flash etc?

I have been doing some reading on the sat side but the choice seems endless, all Im looking for is a basic box, server to connect to that will give me what i want (footy) via sky dish(19.2 i think).

dont want to turn this into a sat thread this is just as a result of my dissatisfaction with sv7.

Basic dreambox 500s is what you need, max ?60, then just add cost of server.
