yes its most likely that your trying to flash the wrong software on the box.


please check and confirm which box you have first before you go ahead and flash it mate

I think i'm in the same boat, i may have loaded the wrong software on a starview 1, is there a way back, have tried loading older software, but fails.

but can you just confirm which software did you try and download to the box?

because if it say fail that means the software has not gone through mate


for starview 1 box you need "Crypstar" mate.

also try using a different computer and see if it helps

if this doesn't work then you will need to follow the bad flash guide mate.


forgot to add: before you flash your box with the image provided above mate.. you have to make sure which box you have: so you will need to make sure that you have a clone or a geniune box first before you flash it.

I dont know how to tell the difference between the 2 but am sure there are guides in the forum which can help you.

there is also two different bin files in the SV1 fix folder...
(core 257) - is for the clone box...
(core 400) - is for the genuine SV1...

i have starview 1st generation clone APIver 400e_E ---boot ver 7.0 --------7 june 2007 .

i been trynig the firme for the clone but no chance,keep saying flash update faild ???
