Yes that is the usual file that comes with the Max232 and some other info from elsewhere.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas Adams

        FIX

Sorry, I should finish the thread before posting.

Gonna try the supplier first and if not grab the gizmo from custom circuits.

What Im not clear on is why this happened.

I did the flash. Everything was working fine...

Then I unplugged the box and took it to a friends and it displayed the 8882 error.

From reading the forums it seems there are two schools of thought as to the cause. One is a bad flash (it worked for ages so hard to understand if it was this) or a hardware fault.

Any further clarification would be appreciated. Im quite enjoying the tinkering

8882 can be caused by inserting or removing usb stick while box is on,power off at front first, then back, wait 30 secs then safe to remove.

Mine packed in yesterday.. It must be a software problem as I havent put the USB stick in since I downloaded the codes 2 months ago..

                Will.

Same thing, but I haven't taken my USB stick out since I flashed it (was still in when the problem started). Is there an inherent design flaw with these units?
