The Box latest firmware glitch ?

Updated my Inlaws "Box" recently with the latest V802 firmware and for the last week it's been fine .
Over the last few days though , it's been switching off , then on again every 15mins or so .
I remember this problem from old , but can't remember wether it was a "box"
    or "box super" firmware glitch.
I think a firmware patch was developed to stop it .
Has anyone had the same problem ?? , Any ideas ??
    Cheers.

Had the same problem with 8.2 so put 4.55 over the top, works fine now.

Was going to do the same as Leerikden today , but the box has held up since my last post without one blackout , it's a strange one this ???
            I'll keep you posted
I'm on C+W in Cheshire , with no significant problems reported by Virgin .

Mine seems to be working fine with the 4.55 also... The only minor glitch I've came across is when I rename a channel in channel edit. some of the info gets stuck on screen and I have to come out of the channel edit to remove it... It also sticks when I flash up the further info green screen when the EPG facility is being used...
That apart though, the 4.55 works just fine here in Glasgow, pure N*L

Firmware or hardware ?? displays "0" or "4" , then switches off , reboots ,then 10 secs later , off we go again , and again , and again !
I'll try the old firmware to see if it's a binna or a winna !

Put V4.55 back and apart from the autoroll issue , it's back to normal again.
So it appears the glitch lives in either V802e or logbox firmware , thats about all i can say on the matter , as i'm not clever enough !

The 4,55 auto-rolls... It will do the same job as the 8.02 without the box switching off all the time.
I did note the other night that I got the famous GREEN SCREEN whilst in the EPG program - the box swithed itself off, then back on again seconds later, so there are some minor glitches in this software also - but not nearly as bad a the stuff you describe on the 8.02...

I wouldn't think so mate, but if you have any problems downloading, just flash the old v4.51 firmware in and then put the v4.55 on afterwards... you'll be ok...
PS, I see you mentioned starview 3, remember this software is for starview 2 only!!!
