the mega did mention the otherday that the boxes that are saying not registered, then they will have to get a subscription with them to get there boxes on, i cant remember if he left that message or here or elsewhere but it was only 2 days ago when he said that and they will release the information about what to do soon enough. thats why the sv 6 and sv 7 box was made with a lan port for future proof, so when peoples 12 months where up then they would have to pay a sub, that was the intention with them all along, it wasnt throw your box away after 12 months and get a new one and dont forget the old server got shut down and the people that started the new server didnt know when anyone got there box so thats why the expiry dates have been added, one date for the sv 6 box and another date for sv 7 box.

this is the information posted by themegakiddy yesterday, read the bottom line, it tells you about a subsricption and the information on what to do will be released soon.

Iv answered this one read through please!!!

Guys I would like someone to quote me wer I said you get 12months! As we all know originally the sv's wer intended for 12 month but the ball game has changed as your all aware! We are trying our hardest, I personally don't see another Boxs giving support and keeping their clients updated ***58375; correct me if I'm wrong!

From memory I recall saying "12months or more" as some people have had far more than 12 month and you all know the reason that we have had to lock down the server! As iv also said in numerous posts! So these events ain't our fault! Oh and please no one chat bullish*t about stock again this was simply another fabrication that seems to get repeated!

But unfortunately as these not registered box are because we do not know the origin of these Boxs. Some may be from old stock some may be from an unofficial source but one things for certain we don't have records of these!

Therefore to use our service they will need to obtain a subscription! I will post more regarding this later!

this is why the starview 6 box has been given an earlier expiry date than the starview 7 as the starview 6 where made over 12 months ago then the starview7 was released nearly 12 months ago so most of the starview 6 boxes are 12 months old or older than that but the starview 7 are not has old yet and thats why that box as been given 6 months longer than the starview 6 box, so the new people that have done the server are taking it that most of the starview 6 owners have had there boxes 12 months or over now.

They are trying to pass the book by saying there is clone boxes ( unofficial ) what a laugh, there was only 1 main distributor in the uk, who supplied all the traders, so all are official boxes, or not clones as what they are trully trying to say here.

yes if you went sat you would have to pay sub fee...but with that you know where you stand exactly....with SV nothing makes sense...people who bought SV7 only 3 weeks ago, their boxes expire in like 5 days time.

i think its the starview 6 that expires is 5 days time, the starview 7 is 6 months time, most of the starview 6 boxes are 12 months old or older now thats why they have been set to expire soon.

there will always be more problems with the starview than with sly because there is only 1 server for starview but there are many sly servers to choose from so if this server went again we would all be in the same boat like we was in feb with just a black screen.

100% agree with you there !! with sv will they do a 3 mth sub just in case they go off, or will it be all or nothing 12 mth sub, if that was the case steer clear more money, and more promises.

And the pricing is still to be decided along with a few other things but it looks quite cheap if the service is maintained properly.

That's all I will say until it is fully clarified and I am certainly not the person for that.

But there are quite a few things to be ironed out and it is only fair that those that bought these boxes are told exactly what is,(or may be the case was is not), happening over the next few days.

same as you say, it is being decided what happens next, but its down to the other person to tell people how much but like satsmo says will only be cheap.

I got my sv7 beginning of october last year, my cut off date is september this year, so thats not far off. BUT what about the down time I havn`t been able to watch what I want for a few months now, still can`t ....Oh yes I can in Febuary I gave up on starview and got myself a spiderbox 9000hd a motorised dish and for the cost of a pint per week I havn`t missed a football game I wanted to watch plus films ect ect everything on a starview box when at full capacity +more much much more. It really wouldn`t bother me if Starview when udders up.I certainly won`t be giving them any more of my money.
