starview1 dummys guide how to update

hi again all,firsty of all have to say what a FAB site this is thanks to all the helpfull peeps on here,i might sound a bit thick for asking this but here goes,can anyone give me or help me with a tutorial on how to download and update starview1 fix,i have downloaded the fix but cannot open it,i also cant open the gt rom loader,do i need to have any other software to do this,also how do i download to the starview once im past the first hurdle,please help me

loader and bin file

when u d/load the file save it to your desktop and it will show as a set of books ,right click to obtain drop down menu then select the third extract option ,once you have done this a yellow folder will appear on your desktop, this is your extacted file ,double click on it and you will see your gt rom loader (a red arrow) and a bin file (white box coloured icons in) these are what you need.

please help me i am confused, i have one unit called the box and a (starview model ?) which came out prior to the box having read several threads i dont know what to download and how to install i have in the past used a null modem cable and a gt rom to install a bin file.
having downloaded the box 4.55 it is an RA file and cannot do anything with it

reading your post,you have s/v1 and "the box" s/v2.you already know how the use the equipment i.e. loader,cables etc. you need to look at the download section anduse the appropiate firmware for each box. If you look in each of the folders there are instructions,and there is always advice within the forum

many thanks for info i now know what i have, what is the latest download ?do i need to udate the firmware? i replaced codes for c/w at begining of Dec.but they have gone off again
i have downloaded cryptstar -v1.5 zip how do i open it and install

download the fix from the download section and use the clone safe image.

after that factory reset

re scan

set default key

switch on emu

exit 3 times

wait for code to update

I am sorry for not understanding all this i am a silver surfer, what is the clone safe image? thank you for your time

before you flash your starview ensure you know your boxes r not clones there is links on this forum to tell which is which
starview 1 genuine is bin file with core 400

done them at last sorry for being a pain my problem was when downloading the files they came as ZI and RA file I had to make extension ZIP and RAR
