Adding Boxes to Bedrooms. What Splitter to use

I am going to add 2 additional SV boxes to 2 of the bedrooms.
Will I need an amplifier for the signal when I use the splitter.?
What is the best splitter to use.
Where is the best place to do the split.
I would prefer to run the cables outside to the bedrooms.
    Thanks

you can buy a decent splitter at B&Q mate, works fine. best place to put the plitter is inthe box outside your house where the cable feed somes to you, in there it will stay dry and you can run off your other cables outside the house to the rooms. Its best to cap off the splitter outputs that you don't use. You can buy a reel of cable and some 'f' type connectors from B&Q as well. Its an easy job, alwasy best to put the splitter in as near to the source as possible.. You probably won't need to get a signal amplifier but if you do you can buy them easy enough from a well known internet auction site. Buy it afterwards as you will waste your money if you find you don't need it.
