Post away but when it is server related it will be closed as you paid for the support, which when the server goes down that support that you paid for should be enacted.

You have a problem when you pay for something do you go to another shop and ask them to help you?

I am very pro help as you can probably see, but I am not here to help a server.

You have a problem with that go talk to the guy you subbed from.

Any non related server problems we will help with. Your right to post is never in question but the need to open a thread to state such seems somewhat questionable?

the idea of posts relaying information on what areas they are on or off....

could just be me,,,,bad internet connection.....my area...Vermin related but we can't determine what the problem is if the post is closed prematurely

This was and I can assure you of that. If you want to "inform" people of future server problems please keep it off the forum.

I tend to close a thread when I know what is occurring, not until then. Assumptions are very rarely followed here hence why we have quite an informed set of members.

I will re-iterate our stance on this, but as said post away we will moderate the threads when and if they need such.

You wanted an answer you got one, how else could that be seen as the last word?

if you want information or technical help regarding your starview then you can post here with no problems

the biggest problem is the fact that most of the new topics are not about your boxes but relate to server matters , like is it up ? , is it down ? , how do you pay ? , who do you pay ? , megakiddy this , sv support that , none of which has anything to do with this forum OR any other forum

if sv support want to take your money and provide support , that is up to them but they should provide their own site for it and have it as a support forum too

the same rule applies on here for many years now on any other pay server platform so the sv support server is no different !

all these support posts should be closed and are quite rightly being closed

you should be contacting the people you have paid if you have support issues that are server related

but , if you wanted to know how to flash your box , or connect it to a router , or want a pin number because it is locked out , then no problem with any post

satsmo and the mods are quite right in their viewpoint on this , and its the same on all forums , not just this one

payservers are the pits , so do not pay them a penny , period

Well Satsmo....i have taken offence to that remark.....if you look at all my posts i have made,,,they are all trying to help members on here
i would never say "pay for it" or anything like that

@ ramjet , I think we have it but thanks The greyline that has been crossed has affected those that came here looking for support previously and now find that avenue closed, through no fault of theirs.

They are the members I hope we can help however I think the traders will think twice of trying to use forums as their back up service. And that's not just on the SV end.

yep , not just this forum either , I mod on other forums and see the same arguments on cable and satellite , but more so on cable since megakiddy started his no site service

so not only do I agree with this forums stance wholeheartedly , its one I fully endorse on the other forums I mod or frequent

I would take the same stance on blade , dreambox etc too ( as I do not have cable in my area )
