i used to have a sv4 wich is now a door stopper for my shed but been looking at the sv7 and wondering is this the same set up as the sv4 ie download on usb plug in your box and your away on vi**in and do ya just switch leads on the boxs any advice appreciated thx

now it needs a srvr using your router for internet access , and for sv its now pay to watch , have a read of the sticky threads up top -
its a case of sticking on the latest firmware then getting the bigmaq toolbar and going from there, your box will have to be registered ith the firmware suppliers who for a fee will get your channels working. the fee is payable 6 monthly or 12 monthly depending how tight you are!!
as mentioned in other threads it works out a whole lot cheaper than subbing the virmin , say ?100 for a box and then 25 for 6 months isnt a bad deal if the service and suport are up to scratch.Comment

thats true, if it was open source would be good, but the people running cable cs for these boxes are giving shite service.
if people cant get dish up, get a dreanbox 500c or the new blade twin tuner etc and use other cable servers, not sv and kv who advertise and are only a short wait from being shutdownComment
