    Life after starview

As we all no starview has now vamooshed into abyss, im now thinking of alternatives and would welcome any suggestions, either sky sat or VM based, Im looking for reliability and ease of setup if possible, had a search on the sky sat side of things and it seems a very complex system to set up. Hoping you guys could point me in the right direction in regards to having the same sort of setup to which i have just lost in starview. Thanks

i have just dumped my starvie and kryptview, sold them on fleabay

i went to the satellite side, and gues what, i should have done this a lot sooner.

          i bought a 1m dish
          technomate motor
          cable
          technomate box

then got a sat engineer to install.

i then trawled the forums researching card share and patched my box

          and hey presto, job done.

everyone on this forum are more than happy to help if you ask for it. i would recommend getting a sat

            Hi Pulsaruk !

Do you mind me asking how much the set-up costs were, i.e. equipment and set-up etc ? As I'm thinking of going the same way, since I was previously on SV, with an expiry date of 15 Sept and logged on this morning to find they had changed exp date to 15 August - TODAY ! What a rip-off ! SV is going in the bin !

            Thanks
