Its more than enough reason needed for vm to cut your connection is they suspect you are defrauding them..

          g. we or Virgin Media Entertainment believe that you or another person at your home have committed, or may be committing, any fraud against us, Virgin Media Entertainment and/or any other person or organisation by using the services or equipment (or both);

If you break any of these agreements by committing fraud or any other criminal activity, we and/or Virgin Media Entertainment will report you to the police, who may take legal action.

How did you pay for the box in the first place - Paypal?

VM would need a warrant to open Bank records (That includes Paypal), they do need grounds to get a warrant.

What percentage of people, who steal Sky TV's services, via a cardshare site, used PayPal to acquire it?

What percentage of people who steal other European TV companies services used PayPal to acquire them?

How many other people in Europe use PayPal to acquire foreign satellite channels, via cardshare sites?

How big a setup do you think Virgin Media is in respect to these other TV companies like Sky TV?

Virgin Media are minnows in a very big lake. Some simply assume they are bigger and more of a threat because they are UK only based.

It's called an opinion to which all are entitled to, whether it is good or bad.

Fortunately opinions are based on services provided etc, etc. I have seen all from both sides, comments are based on such.

Yes, but they need evidence, they cannot open every Paypal transaction looking for a theft of service.

im not up on the law, but if sv is ever raided, and the police so desire to look at the paypal transactions, then they can and will do this, albeit it with a warrant.. all you sv lovers make out that the servers ~~~~ing untouchable.. its NOT.

I agree with last post, lets say they get raided and get hold of bank statements. They can trace back everything. dont really need a warrent if they have a statement with your paypal id do they ?and soon ALL starview users can be found by one account.

commonsence really, its like addicts paying for drugs using cheques and debit card. u got concrete evidence of purchase.

looking at all factors its better to get a kryptview, atleast it works and safe.

if starview offer the deals using cash, then i would take a shot at it, they should use agents like lincsat who would accept cash.

And how do you pay for your Kryptview - Paypal?

Remember that both the original Kryptview and Starview importers have been raided and had documents seized.

I understand Starview do have some agents, I hear some have paid cash for Starview support

You have to remember that there are laws designed specifically to handle companies or entities that are set up for the sole purpose of acting as a 'front' to illegal activity. A 'sham' pay VIP section on a forum neither fools or protects anyone. In fact, such a setup may actually make it easier for law enforcement to act, especially (I suspect) HM Customs and Excise !
