starview 1 stuck on 4 zeros.

hi all,
a friend of mine has a starview 1 stuck on 4 zeros, it wont respond to the remote control it just stays on 4 zeros, i told him id try sort it out for him, just thought id get some feedback from you guys to see is it worth my while, if its to much grief as in changing capacitors etc i think il leave it alone,

Flash using the recovery flash method.

Leave the box switched off until you start the loader then power up immediately after hitting the start button. It may take a few attempts. When you see the blue progress bar the download has started. The display on the box usually remains blank.

How about reflashin with different cable and checkin the remote batteries also the remote sensor ?
