GONE SAT SIDE

Hi guys
i have took the plunge into the uknown of the sat side of things, what a nightmare! i got a motor dish and a spiderbox, but i still have my hdcombo box too or will this now be redundant.
How do i find all the satellites what are out there and how do i know when i have found one?
Like Hotbird i just get a black screen saying NO SIGNAL( the installer fello did not give me much of a tutorial and got off quite sharpish, i dont think i'll see him again now he's had my cash)
Also can anyone reccomend a good CS to me so i can enjoy this experience.

you need to go into settings and use the usuals method. if you have the manual for the spiderbox this will explain.

all you need to do then is enter your longitude and latitude which you can get from a website called dish pointer. enter your postcode on dish pointer and it will give you your long and lat.

did the sat guy show you your system running before he got off?

because if he did not your elevation on the dish and settings on your motor may be off.

the settings on the motor need to be the same as your latitude.

there is a tutorial on how to set up a motorised dish on here. you should get it and go through it.

once your dish is set up going through all the sats and getting free to air, you should then look into cs and not before.

your combo could have been turned into a spiderbox , without the gift extras of course , but still suitable for cs and could have then used a spider channel list too

your hdcombo is a spiderbox if you use this file

the only difference is you wont get the extras now called ethernet ( it was s+ )
