Hi, i have a starview 1 original for about 2 years. It starts with the green dashes, then goes off and tries again but wont boot. Sometimes it comes up with the channel no for a split second but then shuts off. I have checked inside the cover and all parts seem to look ok. Any ideas on what i can do. I cant flash as it wont go to standby mode!

Can you get the menu up when you try it on a tv Mate ? , if you can , do a factory reset , then reflash it with the latest firmware , available from the download section .
If you can't do this , just connect it to your pc , get it ready to reflash , ( correct comms port , GTrom loader . etc ) , start the download from your pc BEFORE switching on your starview box and see what happens .
I've had what you've got on a few occasions and the above is how i've got around it.
It may take 3-4 attempts so be patient !
