broken remote

when i try to change channel with my remote my box just goes off whatever i press it just goes of and a red light flickers on my stariew7 box! i can change channel using the box but coz im on a sports channel i can only view sports channels! can anybody help? thanks in advance

Check and make sure one of the remote buttons are not pushed in (jamed in).

turn on your phone camera on and point remote into it and press a button u should see the laser light up

i thought you was playing me up , when i did what u said the laser is constantly flickering without me even pressing a button so im presuming the remote is broke coz when i point my normal tv remote into my phone it dont light up unless you press a button! thanks for your help ill order a new remote of flea bay!

as your getting a new one . put in a bag and in the freezer over night ,, l have heard it works sometimes . remove batterys tho

It probably suffocated, they seal do freezers and no air, no life.

the fear of the freezer as scared my remote into working again amazing , thanks again for your help got to try and cancel my order of flea bay now 10 pound for remote and extra six pound for express delivery robbing sod!

must of been a button stuck in. sometimes on new remotes this can happen, a good smack on carpet can sort this, make sure you do this so remote is hitting deck flat, not head first.
