    Problems as a newbie installing new firmware

    Hi folks
    I am a newbie struggling to upload the new firmware to my starview cloned box. I am using my laptop and a combination of the 2 cables listed below.
    A USB -> 9pin male serial cable
    A 9pin female serial -> 9pin female serial

    I am using GTRom v4.00 to upload the firmware CryptStar-v1.5-Core257 clone safe.bin.

    However the upload bar remains on 0% and never moves.
    Any ideas folks what is wrong. Is it a software problem or bad cable configuration (maybe too long).

    I hope you guys can help me resolve the problem.
    Cheers in advance.
