STARVIEW HD COMBO BEST FIRMWARE SAT SIDE

HI I use to use the combo for cable side which has now been switched off i have recently just got it hooked to the sat side now and all working with the FTA channels.
I just need someone to point me to the best firmware for the sat side of this box. I will be using it with a server side subscription so just need to know whats the best firmware out there for this. Only asking as i heard there are firmwares that causes issues with freezing in server side setup for sat.

There's one in download section called something like I was bored one day, by all accounts good

Firmware "Spider" is best at present

Just wish someone would take the time to update the original firmware for the combo as I like it, but I do agree that the spider firmware is a good alternative.

Seems strange though seeing the spiderbox logo instead of the starview logo at boot up.

yes i have used a usb to com port cable with no issues under win 7

installed spiderbox fw on SV HD, all ok

Starview HD Combo

Have been out of the game for sometime due to illness. Is there anything out there to get my starview hd combo back on line? Carling was the last programme i used.

I have the Starview HD Combo+ with the Carling firmware. Its running on the Sat side on NEWCAMD. But i keep receiving this "Scrambled" messages every so often and the EPG does not work either.

I was told the KnightRider firware could help. Not sure where to find it or how to install.

Can someone please point me in the right direction

New Kid on the (Starview) Block...

Hi Guys- making tentative baby steps into this strange new world of Starview and not really sure what I'm doing. I've just bought a Starview HDCombi+ and an chuffed that I've managed to get a picture! Seem to have the basic freeview channels and now need to find a way of getting access or subscribing to my old S*y channels....Reading some of the threads it seems I might also need to upgrade the firmware.

or take old machine outta mame cab and use that port doh! is it just me or is it very slow at changing channels and it glitches worse for me back to the old starview f/w for me but thanks it was good to try it
