Starview 4 Picture and Sound problems.

I've set up my box and everything is working fine except, I have a buzzing noise like an earth hum coming out of the TV speakers and thick white bands running across the screen. When I remove the coax cable this stops. Also when I record, the noise and banding is'nt recorded, it reappears when the coax is reconnected.
Any ideas as the box doesn't work without the coax connected!

possible bad cables like coaxial or scart use good quality ones and have surge protection for both,power and coaxial.

I was using a cheapo scart which wasn't fully wired. Used a good one and now its OK.

Hi Pupenhausen,

I am having the same problem as you had, the white lines and humming noise. I have also recently bought a new Samsung tv. Can you please help me and let me know how you solved this problem. What type of scart lead did you get and did you need any surge protection?
