Which starview, 3 or 4 please?

Hi guys, I am thinking of getting a starview for a friend who wants me to set one up for him (I want eurovox). I unstand there is the starview 3 super, which is older, and the starview 5 which has a usb connection. I was thinking of getting these from satancable or bubblecableboxes who seem to be reasonably priced. I have heard the the starview 3 is good and reliable but it can be cloned? has anyone had any experience in ordering these boxes from these sites and are they reputable? Cheers

When VM get up to their tricks it is always the Starview owners who are most upset as their fixes take a longer to come out than the others. This is just something to bear in mind when looking into buying boxes...

Be carefull when buying from said places they're cheap for a reason they'll be clones save yourself the hassle like nige hinted at and get a dreambox

Hey caveman-nige, thanks for the advice. I've been thinking about getting an openmedia one which has the satellite and cable tuners in them - nothing like putting your own software on your own kit. I really liked XMBC for my my old xbox, so I suppose it has to be a dreambox!

wizard is good too......starview 4 usb seems easier to flash because u dont have to worry about null modem cables etc and com ports ..plus u can record on the sv 4 on either a exterenal harddrive or a usb stick
