    The box super updating prob

Sorry to dupe this post but i mis-informed you peeps earlier....I have a Box super..(Not a SV2 as earlier posted )
Now i have had a look and it is running 8.0e firmware and obviously i want to update to either 8.02 or 8.04 ...but the box doesnot seem to want to take a update...keep getting 'flash failed'...Now i am pretty conversant with these boxes and others ....I have tried to 'flash burn' the update but nothing seems to want to work.
All i get is the 'boot' (on the led display) then 'LD80' then 'on' then whatever channel displayed....I have plugged the box in and can get all the FTA no probs and can get into the menu and turn the emu on.....
I have even done a factory reset then scanned the box again but still am unable to get it to accept a update??
Not sure if its a clone ...how do you tell with these??
Any ideas would be greatfully recieved as i'm pull what's left of my hair out

If it means a jtag idiot instructions please!!! lmao

i have come across a few times and never seen a definte fix but this has worked a few times

get all software ready for flashing with the box turned of @ the back switch the box back on then hit download before the box fully boots if it does not work first time keep trying

if that fails unplug take the top of and check caps for bulging and leakage

Tried that method several hundred times
Have managed to retrieve a bad flash on a SV2 using the 'Burn Flash' method before but this Super does not seem to want to play ball......Tried for hours but still just comes up with 'boot' then 'Ld80' the 'on' then displays the last channel ...say 101.

Have had the unit plugged in and can swap channels and get all FTA ...even get into the secret menu....tried a factory reset but still no joy flash any of he updates....

                        Success!!

Having had problems updating I have finally succeeded. I failed using 1. Vista via USB 2. XP USB and serial

Finally tried an older machine XP machine and downloaded first time. I think the problem with some of the failures is one to do with ports.
                        Hope this might help someone.

                          Success!!

Was having the same trouble, using the right cable and the adapter for usb, kept getting flash error. But reading on of your posts above about starting the update just as you turn the box on worked. It just started almost straight away, on about 35% now, so seems to be working.

If you tried it already, try again, but start the update a split second before. Had to restart, cause the laptop died, but got it working again. Click download just before turning the power on, cause that solved it for me.

                          props to you posters.
