Subscriptions to who ?

Hello everyone , i have a KV box and had it for quite awhile now and all is fine with it. A friend of mine has rang me up for information regarding a Starview box he has been given to use . He has asked me to try and find out about subscriptions you pay to receive any channels and whom you pay this to . I am not sure how to go on with these boxes and so i am turning to you guys for any info and support you can give me ! Sorry if there has been similar posts about this subject but like i say ....i mainly stay on the KV forum .
