hi lads does anyone know a fix 4 my box it just says the box on front think its starveiw 2 was working then went off i have reloaded all new firmware ie 4.57 it said down load complete tried to turn it back on to rescan all it says on the television now is the box can't get into menu or even turn it off with remote or button on front is it bricked

@ jckw after it says download complete you have to leave it for 30 seconds or so untill you get another prompt then disconect

ok m8 let us know the result

then do this

? press menu and go to installation,
? Select correct provider i.e. NTL, C/W or TW
? Then automatic scan
? Once the channels are found, exit back to the blank screen
? Press menu (ignore what is on the screen) and press 1 5 7 0, this takes you to a secret menu,
? Go down to emu and turn it on.
? Now exit to s*y sports 1 and wait for it to store all the data.
? That?s it, have fun

thanks martin i can only do this in my mums house because i can't get my serial adapter to work on my new pc it hasn't got a slot 4 null modem cable ill try tommorrow thanks again

flashed starveiw 2 the box

ive flashed this box five times a hard disc boot still no joy does anyone have any ideas before it gets launched out the window :

try loading an earlier f/ware on it m8 ,then put the logo file on again then flash it with the new f/ware ,this has worked for certain people, reading through the forums. hope this works for you m8

jckw you shouldnt need to load an old firmware then reflasg this one should work fine. once it says download complete make sure you leave it until the box displays a number (ie. 0001).

once you plug the box in press menu when it boots up and you can factory reset and rescan. If you say what area you are in (is it Liverpool) someone could hopefully post a channel list for you and you could flash that to your box.

if you read through the thread bugaloo41 he has tried everything but his screen on his tv is just staying on the box logo and not going to the menu screen m8.

Well m8 the fix I have and Have used loads of times you have to flash the box with 2.54 firmware first ,, only if you have the 2.51 firmware on it ,then flash the logo file, "The Box", then flash the 2.55.firmware,, hope this helps m8
